paklite Warranty
We develop paklite products with the aim of creating reliable companions for travel, everyday life and adventure. Our products are designed and manufactured according to strict specifications and high quality standards and are carefully inspected before packaging. Should there nevertheless be an issue with one of our products, we will be happy to assist you.
This warranty is a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty provided by paklite. Your statutory rights in respect of defects against the seller from whom you purchased the product apply independently of this warranty. Exercising these statutory rights is free of charge. Your statutory rights are neither restricted nor replaced by this warranty.

Which products are covered by the warranty?
This warranty applies to paklite-branded products for which a paklite warranty is specified. For accessories, electronic components, batteries, rechargeable batteries, cables, adapters or comparable parts, this manufacturer’s warranty applies only if this is expressly stated for the respective product. Your statutory rights against the seller remain unaffected.
Who may make a claim under the warranty?
The paklite warranty applies to the product’s original purchaser or original user. If you received the product as a gift, you may also make a claim under the warranty if you provide valid proof of the original purchase as a new product. In particular, an invoice, sales receipt or comparable proof of purchase showing the purchase date, retailer and product may serve as evidence. The warranty begins on the date on which the product was originally purchased as new. Giving away or reselling the product, or purchasing it second-hand, does not restart the warranty period and may preclude a claim under the warranty if valid proof of the original purchase as a new product is not provided.
Warranty period
The paklite warranty begins on the date on which the product was originally purchased as new. The applicable warranty period is the period specified for the respective product on the product page and in the warranty information supplied with the product. Please keep your proof of purchase in a safe place. It forms the basis for assessing a warranty claim.
What the warranty covers
The paklite warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. If a valid warranty claim exists, paklite will, after assessing the individual case, decide whether to repair the product, replace it with an equivalent or comparable product, or offer another appropriate solution (for example, by providing a spare part). If an identical product, colour or spare part is no longer available, paklite may offer a comparable product or spare part. Warranty service is always limited to the affected paklite product.
What is not covered by the warranty
The warranty does not cover damage or alterations unless they are attributable to a defect in materials or workmanship. This includes, in particular, normal signs of use such as scratches, dents, abrasion, stains, colour changes and patina, as well as use-related visual wear to prints, decorative elements, coatings, surfaces or comparable design elements, provided that the item’s functional usability is not materially impaired.
The warranty also does not cover damage caused by improper use, overloading, use for an unintended purpose, dropping, accidents, crushing, severe external impact, transport or handling by third parties – particularly airlines, rail, bus, shipping or other transport operators – moisture, extreme temperatures, chemicals, improper cleaning, unauthorised repairs, alterations or modifications, or normal wear and tear of wear parts, unless a defect in materials or workmanship exists. To the extent permitted by law, the warranty does not cover damage to the contents of the luggage or any other consequential loss or damage.
Transport damage
Please inspect your luggage as soon as possible after every journey, particularly immediately after baggage reclaim. Damage caused by transport or handling by third parties is generally not covered by the warranty because it results from improper handling. You should therefore report such damage immediately and directly to the relevant carrier or party responsible and obtain written confirmation of the damage. If it is unclear whether damage was caused during transport or by a defect in materials or workmanship, your retailer or paklite can assess the case. In most instances, it is also possible to report damage to the carrier within a certain period after the journey.
The quickest way to get help: your retailer
In the event of a complaint or warranty claim, please first contact the retailer from whom you purchased your paklite product. This is generally the quickest and easiest route. Our retailers know the products, have experience in initially assessing damage and can often determine directly whether a repair is possible, a spare part is available or another solution would be appropriate. Minor servicing can often be carried out immediately on site or arranged quickly. Our retail partners also have established communication, service and logistics channels with paklite. This usually enables your enquiry to be assessed and resolved more quickly. Your statutory rights against the retailer remain unaffected. If the matter cannot be resolved through the retailer, you may of course contact paklite directly.
Warranty claim procedure
In the event of a warranty claim, please proceed as follows:
- First contact the retailer from whom you purchased the product.
- Have your proof of purchase ready or, in the case of a gift, proof of the original purchase as a new product.
- Provide the product name, series and, if available, item number. You will find the product details inside your product on a sticker or label.
- Describe the damage as precisely as possible and include clear, informative photographs.
- State the country in which the product is currently located.
- Send in the product only if instructed to do so by the retailer or paklite.
- Wait for further instructions on how the matter will be handled.
The clearer and more complete the information, the quicker your enquiry can be assessed.
Geographical scope and warranty service abroad
The paklite warranty applies to products for which a paklite warranty is specified and which were purchased from paklite or from an official paklite distribution partner that sells paklite products. Warranty service can, in practice, be provided in countries where paklite has retailers, distribution partners or service facilities. If the product is located in a country without paklite sales or service infrastructure, we will of course assess your enquiry. However, repair, the provision of spare parts, inspection or other local handling cannot be guaranteed there. After assessing the individual case, paklite will decide whether a solution is possible and how it can be handled. It may be necessary to transport the product to the original retailer, to a service centre designated by paklite or to another handling location specified by paklite.
Shipping and transport costs
For a valid warranty claim, paklite will cover the cost of the authorised repair or approved replacement solution. You are responsible for the costs of bringing the product to the retailer, designated service centre or other specified handling location, including in particular packaging, shipping, transport, insurance, customs duties, taxes and charges. Return shipping to you within the country in which the repair is carried out is free of charge. You are responsible for any costs of return shipping to another country as well as any customs duties, taxes or charges.
These cost provisions apply exclusively to claims made under the paklite manufacturer’s warranty. Your statutory rights against the seller, including any statutory rights to reimbursement of costs, remain unaffected.
Repairs outside the warranty
Even if the issue is not covered by the warranty or the warranty period has expired, we will be happy to try to help. Many paklite products can be repaired, provided suitable spare parts are available and a repair is technically feasible. In these cases too, please first contact your retailer or contact paklite using the contact details provided on our website.
Finally…
Repairs, replacement deliveries, the provision of spare parts or other services under this manufacturer’s warranty do not restart or extend the warranty period. The applicable period remains the warranty period for the product originally purchased, calculated from the date on which it was originally purchased as new. Your statutory rights against the seller remain unaffected.
